    Toymaker Hornby is to make a range of toys and souvenirs associated with the London 2012 Olympic Games.Products will include models of London taxis and London buses, as well as Airfix kits of the Olympic Stadium and Scalextric velodrome sets. Hornby was awarded the licence by the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games. The first ranges will be launched later this year. Best known for its railway sets, Hornby also owns Scalextric, Corgi and Airfix. “We look forward to launching the London 2012 ranges, which we are confident will be very popular, both to collectors in the UK and with overseas visitors,” said Frank Martin, Hornby chief executive. Hornby also has contracts to make Scalextric cars based on the McLaren, driven by Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, and a Scalextric set based on the most recent James Bond film, Quantum of Solace….
